Oxford Advisors is a private practice dedicated to the academic, athletic, social and personal development of students.  Our organization guides students and families through the maze of education opportunities.  The primary objective of Oxford Advisors is to make certain our students are able to maximize their potential in the most appropriate educations setting to ensure their success.  We define success as the admission to a college or university where students will be challenged to follow their passions, to make the most of their talents, to discover new interests, to fully participate in the life of the school and to establish and achieve their personal goals.  Oxford Advisors is not affiliated with any university or college.  Our client is the family and our primary concern is that of the student.

Cliff MacDonald is the Founder and Managing Partner of the Oxford Advisors and is a Certified College Advisor.  Cliff has been working with students across the U.S. for over 25 years and has guided hundreds of teens through the admissions process to enroll at some of the finest academic institutions.  He also draws from over 30 years of experience as a sales and marketing executive with three Fortune 500 companies.  

As a former two-sport Division I collegiate athlete, a member of the New England Sports Hall of Fame, and a coach for over 25 years, Cliff has worked with such organizations as The San Jose Sharks, Stanford University, USA Hockey, the California Youth Soccer Association & other organizations. 

Cliff’s academic credentials include completed graduate programs in College Admissions and Career Planning at UC Berkeley, Executive Leadership from the Wharton School of Business, and various Insurance and Financial Management programs with the American college. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.  In addition, he is an active member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), the Independent Educational Consultants Ass. (IECA), the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), and the Western Association of College Admissions Counselors (WACAC).  

Cliff and his wife Cindy are the proud parents of three children who all have been collegiate athletes and community leaders on their respective campuses at Dartmouth, Villanova, and Wesleyan University.  Cliff and Cindy reside in the San Francisco Bay Area (Pleasanton, California).
